Major Scales

All Wind Ensemble members are required to memorize all 12 major scales. Major scales will be played for Honor Band tryouts, All State tryouts and Final Exams.To help with this here are the major scales in pdf format.

Wind Ensemble / Symphonic Band

Members of the Symphonic Band represent the most advanced performers in the Basic High School Instrumental Music Program. The Symphonic Band performs literature of the highest quality and advanced technique, and represents Basic High School in a variety of performances throughout the school year. Attendance at a limited number of rehearsals performances outside of the school day is expected of all members. All Wind Ensemble members must also participate in all Marching Band and Pep Band rehearsals and performances.
